Icon

ICON DEVELOPMENT OFF BROADWAY AND GAULT

Hello again. I am just a person seeking a means to an end. The means must be on the bus line or within walking distance and must not interfere with my personal space. That is why I started looking at clinical trials.

One, unemployed but searching. Two, in a personal crisis with decisions to make. Three, eight year old grandchild who is more precious to me than life's ups and downs.

I did go to another lab, but that didn't work out and left me feeling put out and rather bitter. I never participated in the trial as I was cut three days before check in time based on last minute decisions made by the panel of doctors. But hey that's the breaks and you move on. Just telling you this to prepare you for the unexpected.

So, I went to Icon. What a lovely place. Very serene, very comfortable. The staff was cozy professional. Yep, that's what I said.

They were professional in that they were all trained in the medical field in some capacity. They explained everything to you like they knew you for years and you had just stopped by for a little visit and some advice.

I found them through this site, looked at what studies they had at the time and then received a phone call within one to two business days. I called back and found out that I could schedule an appointment on my own when I registered on their site. This works particularly well for me as I have a prepaid phone and it saves me on minutes.

My first screening was a one on one information tell all and physical exam. Mine did not involve blood test or fasting, yet. That will come later.

Now I'm on to screening number two and will let you know how that goes. If it goes well, then a third screening with blood tests will let me know if I am eligible for this particular study.

I hope I can help them out and should I find employment after qualification, I will insist on honoring a prior commitment.

Keep you posted. :)

PS just a simple plug :D
